A small group of protesters from a Leamington-area First Nation is demanding more say in the economic development plans being decided by its band council.
Spearheaded by Mary Duckworth, who was ousted as chief last September in the wake of a lengthy dispute, this group of Caldwell First Nation protesters says the band council has decided to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a new restaurant in Leamington without any comment from members.
