Tecumseh schools to fill board vacancy June 3 Mary Lowe The Daily Telegram TECUMSEH  The Tecumseh school board will have a special meeting 6 p.m. June 3 at Tecumseh High School to fill the seat left open by the resignation of Treasurer John Benzing last week. Benzing cited decreased availability due to work issues and the changing composition of the board as the reasons for his resignation. The board will first interview candidates and then choose one among the candidates to serve. So far, there is a pool of three candidates, two of which have a great deal of familiarity with the board Joshua Mattison, who was once the director of facilities and maintenance for Tecumseh Public Schools, and Mary Tommelein, who worked as a teacher and counselor for 39 years, mostly at Tecumseh Public Schools.
