No one, if asked for directions around Memon Goth in Malir, would be familiar with this place but when if asked about location of the Christian settlement, anyone would direct you to head up to Jam Kando and take the little broken road on the right after passing the dried river’s bridge. He surprised his students with homemade snow on Friday.  Lopina has a snow machine. He says the weather conditions were just right on Thursday to make homemade snow on the campus of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic School in High Point.  He got to work Thursday night and finished spraying the snow just before students arrived Friday morning.

Timothy Ekaitis, pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church, sits in the new white oak pews that feature a carved fleur de lis design, which is the French symbol for Mary. The church also installed porcelain tile and new carpeting. NORWAY On Christmas Eve, St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway opened its doors for services after a three-month renovation. Construction began in October, with many church volunteers doing the demolition work. “It only took two days to remove and dispose of material,” said the Rev. Timothy Ekaitis, pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church. “Many hands make light work.”

Francis Norman Countiss, 73, of Lexington Park, MD, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2021 at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. He was born on January 16, 1948 in Maddox, MD to the late Joseph Ignatius Nace Countiss and Mary Ellen Mamie Curtis Countiss. He loved going to church, reading his bible and praying the Rosary. He was a big football fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He got a kick out of talking about games between the Cowboys and the Washington Redskins with his nephews and friends at the Nursing Home, who were all Redskin fans. He loved the ribbing that he received about being a Cowboys fan in Redskin Country. Francis was a very giving person. He loved to buy Christmas gifts for family members and friends and he always knew the perfect gift for each. He would buy sympathy cards for every family member or friend and always insisted that others share with him in signing the cards.
