FARGO Fargo City Commissioners have signed the city s annual mosquito control contract but are seeking more input before making final decisions on aerial and ground-based spraying this year.
Aerial spraying became a controversial topic in the Fargo-Moorhead area last August when a large number of migrating monarch butterflies died after a night of aerial spraying in what came to be known locally as the Monarch Massacre.

FARGO The mask mandate in Fargo is set to expire on February 18, but some are urging Mayor Mahoney to extend it again.
Those on the board of health voted today to ask Mayor Mahoney to extend the mask mandate.

Fargo Mayor Dr. Tim Mahoney has declared Thursday Jason Moszer Day.
The city held a memorial ceremony at Fargo City Hall in Moszer’s honor where dozens of community members and law enforcement came together.
“As we remember, Heavenly Father, Officer Jason Moszer, we honor him this day and the sacrifice, the ultimate sacrifice, that he made to lay down his life for his friends. In honoring Jason, we also honor the virtues that his life modeled: duty, courage, sacrifice, and family,” said Police Chaplain Raymond Courtright.
