KENT, Wash. Kent police are searching for a teenager who has been missing since Sunday, May 30.
NiAni Rashaad, 18, was last seen at the corner of Russell Road near the Riverwood Apartments in Kent. She has been diagnosed with high-functioning autism, which makes her more vulnerable. Kent police and the city s mayor are now calling on the community to help get NiAni back home.

Local governments across Puget Sound are beginning their search to hire seasonal help. In Kent, part-time jobs are up for grabs including lifeguards at Lake Meridian Park, but finding qualified applicants has been a challenge this year.
KENT, Wash. - You can feel it when you step outside: warmer weather is slowly approaching and with summer around the corner, seasonal jobs are opening back up. But filling those vacancies remains tough for a King County park.

So far, Gov. Inslee’s announcement that all counties in Washington will remain in their current phase for the next two weeks as rollbacks are put on pause seems to have been received as good news.
The Washington Hospitality Association, which represents restaurants and hotels statewide, is pleased with the governor’s pause. The head of the group, Anthony Anton, says the pause on further rollbacks recognizes the sacrifices that people in his industry have made to keep others safe. Anton says rolling back more counties to Phase 2 would have been the wrong decision.
