+ May 12, 2021 THE Angeles City government has been cited for its human resource (HR) systems, practices, and competencies by the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
CSC has awarded the City a Bronze Award under the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (Prime-HRM).
On behalf of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel on May 10, received the award from CSC Pampanga Field Director Emily Reyes via a Zoom conference.

+ April 04, 2021 ANGELES City Mayor Carmelo Pogi Lazatin Jr. has ordered the relief of all personnel from the City Police Office Station 5 in Angeles City, Pampanga in relation to a prank video posted on social media.
Shown in the video were alleged uniformed police officers of Station 5 arresting an individual using an official vehicle from the Philippine National Police (PNP). The uniformed personnel participating were also heard identifying themselves as being from Police Station 5.
They later revealed in the video that the arrest was a prank in observance of April Fool s Day.
The video gained over 1 million views; 17,000 reactions; and 6,100 comments, as of press time.
March 07, 2021 ANGELES City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. is appealing to Angeleños to participate in the ongoing survey and registration for the inoculation of Covid-19 vaccines in Angles City, Pampanga.
Lazatin said the data from the survey is crucial for the city government to capture the real pulse of the people.”
The city government started a house-to-house survey in Barangays Agapito Del Rosario, Claro M. Recto and Virgen Delos Remedios on March 4.
City Chief Adviser and Tactician IC Calaguas, who spearheaded the survey in the three barangays, said most locals were either hesitant to participate in the survey, afraid to take the vaccine, or prefer a specific brand of vaccine.

+ February 26, 2021 THE city government of Angeles has surpassed its target to spay and neuter 1,000 pets, as Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. continues to push for programs prioritizing animal welfare.
This was confirmed by his Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, who supervised the mass spaying and neutering program of the city government, free of charge, with Chief Adviser and Tactician IC Calaguas, and City Veterinary Officer-in-Charge Dr. Christian Xyric Arcilla and staff, and some 14 private veterinary doctors who took time and effort to assist the city in this project.

+ February 25, 2021 ANGELES City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. said some 111 nurses assigned at the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (formerly Ospital Ning Angeles or ONA) 19 permanent, four casual and 88 Contract of Service (COS) status have started receiving their P12,000 salary increase this January 2021.
All 19 permanent and four casual RLLMC nurses from Salary Grade (SG) 11 – equivalent to P22,316 – were upgraded to SG 15, with a monthly basic salary of P33,575.
Meanwhile, all 88 COS nurses receiving P20,000 basic monthly salary (SG10) were raised to SG 15, amounting to P32,000.
