Locals see names on streets, roadways and parks ― John B. Magruder and Jefferson Davis come to mind. For some, they are just instructional, for others they are a painful reminder.
Students wear sweatshirts bearing such names ― consider Maury High ― to show school spirit.
Scattered across Hampton Roads, memorials to segregationists take the form of monuments, plaques, statues, street signs, schools and building names. In the wake of renewed calls for social justice, many are being removed.

He paid homage to Crouch s robot celebration
A man has completed a Peter Crouch-shaped half marathon across west London, much to the amusement of the former Liverpool, Southampton and QPR striker.

Not only that - the man s half marathon passed through locations that are meant to hold particular relevance to Crouch and his life.

The runner, Matt Peck, made his way across west London in a Peter Crouch-shaped sprint stopping at the following locations:
Liverpool Road, Ealing (in homage to one of Crouch s former clubs)
Rose Gardens, South Ealing (a reference to Crouch s daughter)
Manor ISD reports five new cases of COVID-19 at four schools
By Lauren Reid As precautionary measures, we are following the recommendation from our
local health officials, Manor ISD said. Due to privacy requirements, we will not be releasing the names of the individuals or details that may identify them.
According to the school district, the cases are related to a student at Manor Senior High School, a staff member at Manor High School, a student
at Blake Manor Elementary School, and two students Manor New Tech High School.
