Searchers find body of Hague man who went missing during fishing trip

Body of Missing Man From Last September Recovered From Weyakwin Lake

By Les Lazaruk May 14, 2021 | 4:34 PM The body of a man, who had gone missing last September while out fishing on Weyakwin Lake, has been recovered. The remains of Matthew Hamm of Hague were confirmed by an autopsy performed by the Saskatchewan Coroners Service after the Lloydminster Rescue Squad reported they had recovered a body on Weyakwin Lake on May 12th. Hamm’s family reported he had been out fishing, but failed to return. Waskesiu R-C-M-P want to thank the many partners and individuals who assisted in the search for Murray Hamm since September.

Remains of missing boater found in northern Sask. lake RCMP say the remains of a man who went missing while fishing in northern Saskatchewan last fall have been recovered. Matthew Hamm of Hague was reported missing last September. Police say his body was recovered in Weyakwin Lake on Wednesday by the Lloydminster Rescue Squad.
