Severe storms in the South have left a trail of damage after spawning tornadoes, destructive winds and large hail across multiple states.
A possible tornado damaged semitrailers and vehicles on Interstate 35E near Waxahachie, Texas, on Monday night. At least three people were transported to a hospital from the scene, according to WFAA.com. JUST IN
All three were transported to the hospital.
Shortly after 2 p.m. Monday, a damaging tornado was confirmed near Elberton, Georgia. It caused a warehouse to collapse, but no injuries were reported. The storm moved across the South Carolina state line, prompting tornado warnings in Abbeville County and into Greenwood, Laurens and Newberry counties. A second tornado was reported in Abbeville County about an hour later.

WAXAHACHIE, Texas Storm chasers following Monday night s intense storms knew they had to do something after coming across a dire crash off Interstate 35E near Waxahachie in Ellis County last night.
WFAA s Matt Howerton spoke to Victor Flores from the scene of the crash.
Flores said he s been chasing storms for about 10 years now, but was a volunteer firefighter before that. Flores said he and a fellow chaser were following the storm as it moved through Ellis County when they came across the wreck.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham declared a flash flood emergency Tuesday evening for portions of Jefferson and Shelby counties.
A flash flood emergency is a rare alert that indicates an imminent, life-threatening danger of flooding.
The emergency was in effect until 8:15 p.m. CDT. The NWS warned that additional rainfall of 2 inches was possible. This will exacerbate ongoing flash flooding & cause additional flash flooding, the NWS tweeted.
