Career Coach is a new online resource that is free and open to all students and community members. The program is available from the college’s home page and features several easy-to-use tools to help users get started. Users have the options of a brief six-question assessment or an extended 60-question assessment to match skills and interests to academic majors and career paths. The program shows career options with salary and employment rate information from the Lake Land College district in real time, so one can see how each career stands in terms of employment.

He was charged with attempted murder, two counts of aggravated battery and unlawful use of a weapon after allegedly stabbing multiple people with a knife at the Oyo Motel/Rodeway Inn in Flora early Sunday morning. Clay County State’s Attorney Andrew Koester says the Flora Police Department responded to a call regarding a fight in progress around two Sunday morning. Initial information indicates the stabbings occurred inside one of the motel rooms and out in the parking lot. Koester reported the victims are in stable condition.
