Ryan Thomas broke down in tears as he was emotionally reunited with his daughter Scarlett after walking 78 miles in a bid to raise awareness of male suicide.
Musgrave intended to sell the home and move to the Bay of Islands to retire, but nobody will buy it. “I tried to sell it, and was hoping to move north, but people just take one look at the materials, and they don’t want a bar of it,” he says. “I’m basically stuck in Hamilton. It’s changed the course of my life. It’s like having a brick tied around your neck when you re trying to swim.”

The loss of Walker isn’t too much of a surprise. That’s a recurrence, or at least in the same area, as the previous problem which put him on the DL earlier in the season. Hopefully, it’s more of a setback than a reset. But the news on Gallen is definitely an unpleasant shock, and will test the depth of the Diamondbacks’ starting pitching again. You can hear from Torey Lovullo on the situation, and how the team plans to handle it, later. With luck, Taylor Widener should not be too far off returning - a sim game due later this week. That will help, though he isn’t at the same level of pitching as Gallen. While their raw ERAs were similar (3.04 for Gallen, 2.82 for Widener), there is a very large gap in FIP (2.99 vs. 4.76).

Marlins Cody Poteet beats D-backs in major league debut

Right-hander Cody Poteet earned the victory in his major league debut as the Miami Marlins defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-2 on Wednesday night in Phoenix.
Poteet, 26, allowed four hits, no walks and two runs while striking out six as the Marlins snapped their season-high-tying, four-game losing streak.
Four Marlins relievers including Yimi Garcia in the ninth combined to pitch four scoreless innings. Garcia earned his sixth save of the year.
Miami s offense was led by Jesus Aguilar, who slugged a two-run homer, and Sandy Leon, who hit a solo shot. All nine of Aguilar s homers this season have come on the road.
