Tickets to go on sale for Barrow Raiders first ever Oktoberfest event

BARROW Raiders are due to hold their own Oktoberfest soon with tickets due to go on sale tomorrow. The Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium will see Oom-pah bands, German food stalls, as well as the traditional German beer come October and the staff are hopeful to see it become a more regular fixture of the year if this one proves popular. Steve Neale, chairman of Barrow Raiders, said: We have booked bands and some extra marquees so we will have three in total, two more than our permanent marquee. It could be a bit wetter because we are in October but we have flooring so nobody will be stepping through mud and entertainment will be on throughout the day.

Raiders Jamie Dallimore escapes a match ban

PAUL CRAREY, Raiders’ head coach was a relieved man for the second time within two weeks as key player Jamie Dallimore escaped a ban. Dallimore was up before the RFL disciplinary for a second successive week after being cited for allegedly biting on a Keighley player. He was found not guilty, with no case to answer. Dallimore was sent off two weeks previous for an alleged high tackle on a Doncaster player, but again had no case to answer.
