Norwich Senior Center to host seed library

“It’s calming, it’s soothing,” Fishbone said. “You get to watch something grow.” With that, Fishbone plans on starting a seed library at the Rose City Senior Center. Fishbone said that seeds will become available at the Mahan Drive center by the end of May for people to use and enjoy. “You don’t have to be from Norwich, nor do you have to be a senior,” Fishbone said. “It’s seeds.” Even though the seed library is starting from an assortment of 200 seed packets, currently vegetables, flowers and herbs, Fishbone believes it will be continued by local gardeners, as people might get a seed type they don’t want or they’ll get more seeds than they need, and they’ll want to share the seeds with people who can use them.
