Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and wife Melinda Gates a philanthropist and former Microsoft general manager will end their marriage of 27 years.
The Gateses each tweeted a statement Monday saying they made the decision “after a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship.”
They will continue to work together at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, one of the largest private foundations in the world and an investor in education, health care and other initiatives.

Dell Technologies officially unveiled today the pending sale of its cloud-based platform business Boomi to a pair of private equity firms in a deal valued at a whopping $4 billion.
The deal comes as Round Rock, Texas-based Dell is now in full transition mode around reshaping the company’s broad and vast portfolio which includes servers, storage, hyperconverged infrastructure, PCs, cybersecurity and various software products.

SAP’s CEO is heralding the software giant’s sales growth in cloud computing while dismissing recent claims by rival Oracle of competitive wins in the hotly contested ERP application space.
“Q1 was a blowout quarter in the cloud,” CEO Christian Klein (pictured) said during a call Thursday with financial analysts to detail the results of the company’s 2021 first quarter.
SAP has been aggressively transitioning its software products and its customers to the cloud. In the quarter ended March 31 cloud revenue grew 7 percent to 2.15 billion euros (U.S. $2.56 billion) and the current cloud backlog increased 19 percent.
