A migrating “duck” has caused concerns amongst an Ullapool environmental group.
The Ullapool Sea Savers found out about a half-full Duck cleaning fluid bottle that washed up on a beach near Bergen, Norway.
They have assumed it has come all the way from Scotland, but it is definitely of British origin due to lettering on the bottle.
It was found by a friend of the group and Norwegian documentary maker Kenneth Bruvik, who thinks the discovery of the bottle can become a symbol for the need to stop plastic pollution now.

SCRANTON, Pa. Friends of the Poor in Scranton has been serving food since the start of the pandemic. Their latest effort is a shot at bringing the pandemic to an end.
COVID-19 restrictions meant the organization could not hold its annual day of service for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, so Friends of the Poor contacted the Department of Health asking for vaccines. We try to help people 365 days a year, but the pandemic s a weird time. None of us have experienced this; none of us have lived through this. So, we thought, where are we falling short in helping people through the pandemic, and what can we do to help? said Meghan Loftus, president & CEO of Friends of the Poor.

DICKSON CITY, Pa. Volunteers filled up trunk after trunk with toys and gifts for children to open on Christmas morning. Cars wrapped around the parking lot of the Parker Hill Church in Dickson City for the annual giveaway. It s a really big help because we re a family of 6 and until just a couple of months ago we only had one income. I was a stay-at-home mom, my son got sick a couple years ago so it helps a lot that we re able to just supplement with these extra gifts, said Alyssa Alt from Scranton.
