The webinars are free and will cover topics including overcoming adversity and diversity and inclusion. Centerstone Trauma Training and Care Coordinator Megan Ragan said she wants the events to help people feel sense of hope.
“You know it s been a really challenging year. And a lot of people, their hope tanks are at an all time low, for lack of a better word. So I am hoping that people are able to take hope and being able to overcome,” Ragan said.

WEST FRANKFORT Centerstone will host a free, virtual child abuse prevention training on 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 7.
The training will provide an overview of the physical and behavioral signs, causes and dynamics associated with abuse, as well as what to do if you suspect a child is being hurt or neglected. Objectives include:
Identify the signs and symptoms of child abuse and neglect
Provide knowledge regarding the physical and behavioral signs associated with child abuse and neglect
Increase knowledge of risk factors for child abuse and neglect
Discuss causes and dynamics associated with abuse

WEST FRANKFORT Centerstone will host a free virtual Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) training 10-11:30 a.m. on March 10.
The training will cover ACEs, information on how they can affect individuals’ wellness throughout the lifespan, review risk factors and the role of protective factors.
Objectives of the training include:
Identify common adverse childhood experiences
Increase knowledge of adverse childhood experiences, resiliency, and protective factors
Discuss the role of protective factors in resiliency
Increase knowledge of resources for ACEs
Increase knowledge of ACEs related to wellness
