One new outbreak was declared at a health-care facility, for a total of 16 active outbreaks in that category. No new outbreaks were declared in daycare/schools or community categories, with three ongoing outbreaks in each.

The director of Ontario’s civilian police watchdog found no basis to proceed with criminal charges in an incident in which a 26-year-old man who had been arrested for drunk driving suffered a broken nose.
The man was being released from the Rockland OPP detachment early on Nov. 1, 2020 but an officer was trying to get him to plan a ride home because they believed he was still intoxicated and he wasn’t dressed for the cold.

City police swooped in to help a mom and her babies get around after being called to the goose and goslings trying to cross at Bank Street and Heron Road late Sunday afternoon.
No word on whether they had motorists honking but the family was safely relocated to a nearby river.
