Dolly Parton is saying goodbye to her brother,
Randy Parton.
The music legend took to her
Facebook page on Thursday morning to reveal that her younger brother died at just 67 years old after facing cancer.
In the heartfelt statement, the 75-year-old country crooner wrote that Randy is “shining in heaven now,” sharing that the family’s faith has helped them process the tragic loss. She explained:
“My brother Randy has lost his battle with cancer. The family and I are grieving his loss but we know he is in a better place than we are at this time. We are a family of faith and we believe that he is safe with God and that he is joined by members of the family that have gone on before and have welcomed him with joy and open arms.”

A star-filled Dolly Parton tribute project is coming to Netflix on April 7.
Dolly Parton: A MusiCares Tribute, was filmed in 2019 as part of the celebration when The Recording Academy (which puts on the Grammy Awards) named Parton its MusiCares Person of the Year. Parton is the first country artist to receive the recognition, joining past recipients such as Bono, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, and Bruce Springsteen.
Little Big Town hosted the show, which was filmed in Los Angeles just head of the 61st annual Grammy Awards. Randy Parton Family Grieves His Loss
Randy Parton is the eighth of the Parton siblings. Two of the Parton brothers passed away over the years. Randy is survived by wife Deb Parton, children Heidi and Sabyn, and grandchildren Huston and Trent, Today reported.
In a Facebook post shared by his sister, Dolly shared how their family is a family of faith. The Parton family grieves the loss of Randy but believes he is in a better place, safe with God and members of the family that welcomed him with open arms, Dolly shared on social media.
