After more than a year of active efforts to suppress COVID-19, city of Oak Ridge facilities are returning to normal operations. A review of all city departments and services has been conducted and although not at full capability, the following is a summary of various services, a city news release issued last Friday stated.
Departmental services are continuing. City officials strongly urge citizens to conduct their business electronically, over the phone, and by mail whenever possible. Financial transactions can be handled electronically and via mail. If you need to reach a department, call the number listed below for each department. Ragan: Update on local road projects

Tennessee Rep. John Ragan, R-Oak Ridge, on Thursday provided an update on several highway projects managed by the Tennessee Department of Transportation in Anderson County. More than a dozen construction projects totaling more than $32 million are moving forward, which are expected to improve safety and support economic growth.
“I’m glad to see we’re making progress on these critical projects that will help improve traffic and road safety for residents of Anderson County,” Ragan said in a news release. “I appreciate the work of our local officials and am grateful for TDOT’s commitment in moving these projects forward.”

A review of all city departments and services has been conducted and although not at full capability, the following is a summary of various services,” City Manager Mark Watson stated in a news release.

With the public health situation is rapidly changing, here are the latest updates affecting city facilities from Oak Ridge City Manager Mark Watson.

The city of Oak Ridge is supporting the “Tennessee Pledge” efforts by the state government. The news release encouraged people to refer to State of Tennessee websites for updates and advice on precautions to be taken by particular businesses.
