Dr. Marvin Manzanero Last week during a virtual appearance on the Love FM’s Morning Talk Show, the Minister of Health and Wellness effectively removed the Director of Health Services Dr. Marvin Manzanero from his post as Director of Health Services (DHS). Dr. Manza as he is most fondly known was the face of Belize’s health sector in relation to the government’s efforts to fight COVID-19 since Belize’s first case was reported on March 22. He became one of the most recognizable persons involved in Belize’s COVID-19 efforts, perhaps second only to the then Attorney General Michael Peyrefitte. Like Peyrefitte, Dr. Manza spoke the language the ordinary Joe and Jane understood. He has always been a professional in doing his job and as far as we have ascertained Dr. Manza flew no political flag. He was all about professionalism. Twin doctors laid to rest | The Guardian Newspaper

On Sunday afternoon Dr. Kenneth Guerra and his twin brother Kevin Guerra were laid to eternal rest in their much-loved hometown of Benque Viejo del Carmen in the faithful presence of family members and friends. Kevin Guerra passed away shortly after midday on Saturday and his brother, Kenneth, lost his struggle to Covid-19 complications eighteen hours later on Sunday morning. Kevin was intubated at the K.H.M.H. on Saturday. At that time, Kenneth was also intubated and was in dire need of plasma from a person who had recently recovered from COVID-19. A brief funeral service was held less than 24 hours after the pair of twin doctors from Benque Viejo del Carmen had passed away. They were taken by Coye’s Funeral Home on Sunday in matching coffins to their resting place, from the Sacred Heart Church in San Ignacio to Benque Viejo.

Dec. 9, 2020)., Mr. Bourgeois sustained serious spinal cord injuries while snow tubing at the Ski Roundtop Resort, a ski and snow tubing facility in Lewisberry, PA. Allegedly, Mr. Bourgeois was injured when the tube he was riding on at a high rate of speed collided with a rolled-up kitchen mat that the defendants deliberately placed in his path at the base of a snow tube hill. According to court documents, the defendants admitted they used folded kitchen mats to control the speed of the tubes at the bottom of the hill even though they know these mats were not designed for use in the snow tubing industry. When our client came in contact with the mat, his tube was brought to an abrupt stop, which allegedly caused his body to fly head first into the snow and ice and resulted in Mr. Bourgeois serious injuries.
