The last year was tough for carmakers in India and Mercedes-Benz was no exception. The German luxury carmaker sold 7,893 cars in India last month, registering 42.75 per cent sales decline as compared to 2019. The company, however, noted that the demand for its vehicles increased in the latter half of 2020 as it witnessed a 40 per cent sales growth in the last quarter of 2020 as compared to the same period in 2019. The carmaker, however, is going to kickstart a product offensive in India this year to maintain its position as the most-selling luxury carmaker in India for the last six years.
