February 03, 2021MEREDITH A two-alarm fire destroyed a service building and several boats at Meredith Marina, though no one was injured.
A call came into the Meredith Fire Department around 4:44 p.m. on Thursday about a building fire at 2 Bayshore Rd. at Meredith Marina.
Fire Chief Ken Jones said a few employees had just left the warehouse to go to the main office. Employees then saw smoke and fire coming up from the warehouse and called for emergency services.
Jones said the fire went to a first alarm after he went on the scene. After 13 minutes, a second alarm was called due to how much area was exposed and the cold weather.
