Mar 17, 2021 Maximiliane L.E. McGilton, age 79, of Morristown, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Thursday evening, March 11, 2021. She was born on November 2, 1941 in Munich, Germany to Maximilian and Maria Hertel. She married Elbert S. McGilton on December 19, 1963. Maxi attended church at a variety of places including St. Mary’s Church and Thoburn United Methodist Church in St. Clairsville, Ohio. Maxi had a love for learning and reading, especially history. She enjoyed nature, animals, and playing Mexican Train with her friend, Barb Shepherd, while surrounded by her cats. The cats outside her house did not remain strays for very long. She was an avid piano player and artist.
