The fire started around 7 p.m. at a building on Valley Street.
Firefighters say a fire started on a stove top in a lower apartment and spread throughout the building to the roof.
All residents made it out of the building safely.

MUSKEGON, MI – In the wake of a devastating Christmas Eve fire that destroyed a couple’s home and killed their two dogs, the Muskegon community has surrounded Blake and Marissa Evans with support.
News of the fire circulated quickly around the Beachwood-Bluffton neighborhood, a tight-knit community tucked between Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake where the couple had lived for about six years. The response was immediate.
