SOUTHBURY â The Strategic Plan Commission, meeting Thursday, March 11, discussed the idea of creating an ambassador program as a resource for the commission.
Chair John Monteleone explained that he had invited people who have experience as former members of the Strategic Planning Task Force or Strategic Plan Commission or members of the community.
He noted that these people have a significant amount of knowledge and expertise as a result of their education, employment and/or background and service in the strategic planning process and research on strategic plan priorities approved by the Board of Selectmen.
While they would not be required to attend meetings, ambassadors would stay current with commission activities via minutes in order to provide support in terms of advice or counsel on certain subjects.
