The United Arab Emirates Mars mission Hope Probe successfully entered the orbit of Mars at 8:13pm local time (4:13pm GMT) on Tuesday, making the UAE s space agency the fifth in the world to achieve the feat, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre announced.
After Hope Probe s orbit entry, UAE scientists and engineers will spend two months testing the spacecraft and its on-board scientific instruments before the orbiter will transition to its science orbit, the Dubai-based MBRSC said.
