The curfew that was imposed in sections of Naggo Head in Portmore, St Catherine on Monday evening, which is due to be lifted at 6pm on Wednesday, July 14, is aimed at addressing “matters of concern” that the police have identified in the space.
That is according to Senior Communications Strategist in the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), Dennis Brooks.
“What I can confirm is that the constabulary has identified some potential flashpoints in the community and we are seeking to move in with additional resources and provide solutions to those law enforcement challenges,” Brooks told Loop News on Tuesday.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Fitz Bailey. (File photo)
Police investigators are exploring the possibility that the grisly disappearance and possible death of Clarendon teacher, Natalie Dawkins, could have been linked to her part-time job as a bailiff.
The disclosure was made by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in charge of Crime, Fitz Bailey, following the discovery of a body believed to be that of Dawkins in a shallow grave in Sandy Bay, Clarendon on Thursday. We are also looking at (the) theory. Was she taken away because of her work as a bailiff? Did she do something to someone in terms of maybe the possibility of seizing goods, and someone was aggrieved by that and maybe got at her? stated Bailey.
