Shoura Council rejects any act infringing upon Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty, leadership February 28, 2021

RIYADH The Shoura Council Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh has expressed the Council’s strong rejection and condemnation of negative, false and unacceptable assessment in the report provided to the US Congress about the murder of Saudi citizen Jamal Khashoggi, as abusive accusations against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its leadership are unfounded and cannot be accepted in any way.
In a statement issued Sunday, the Shoura Council Speaker affirmed the Council’s complete rejection of any act aimed at undermining the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its leadership or interfering upon its affairs, stressing that the people of Saudi Arabia strongly reject any act that targets Saudi Arabia and its leaders

I’ve often wondered why the Muslim Brotherhood strikes fear into the hearts of Arab regimes. Prisons across Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia are filled with thousands of political prisoners drawn from the leadership and membership of the movement, which is also banned as a “terrorist organisation” by this tyrannical triumvirate.
The exaggerated fear shared in equal measure by the extreme right wing in Israel and the outgoing Trump administration is such that it has become one of the most demonised political groups in the Middle East today. Cairo: Hundreds of mourners attended the funeral of Ahmed Taha Rayan, a member of the Council of Senior Clerics at Al Azhar, who had died Wednesday, Egyptian media reported.
Rayan, a prominent professor of Islamic jurisprudence, was 82. He passed away due to complications from COVID-19 that he had contracted days earlier, according to media reports.
Hundreds of devotees had gathered in the courtyard of Al Azhar Mosque in Cairo to attend a funeral prayer before his burial.
Sheikh of Al Azhar Ahmed Al Tayyeb mourned Rayan, calling him a “scholarly lamp”.
“The late scholar spared no effort in serving Islam and Muslims, leaving behind for the Azhar and Islamic libraries a big legacy in the field of Islamic jurisprudence,” Al Azhar Sheikh added in a statement.

Abu Dhabi: Saudi educators and public figures have agreed that the Ministry of Education s warning against expiation (Takfiri) thought of terrorist groups, especially the Muslim Brotherhood, in the Islamic studies at schools is an important and necessary step to protect pupils against the dangers of these groups and their destructive ideas, indicating that the stray ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood exceeded the limits.
Educators were reacting to the Saudi Ministry of Education’s merging, Islamic education subjects for general education students into a single course called “Islamic Studies”, starting with the semester that begins Sunday and allocating lessons to explain the dangers of the Muslim Brotherhood s ideology for students.
