At the beginning of the meeting, Sheikh Dr. Al-Sheikh welcomed members of the delegation, delivering a briefing on the work mechanism of the council and its roles as per its regulations and specializations.
He noted that the future of the region requires adopting a vision that prioritizes realizing security, stability and prosperity, while focusing on mutual respect among regional countries.
The Speaker also received the Arab Parliament’s Award for the Middle East Green Initiative, which was announced by Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense, as the best Arab initiative for the year 2021.
