LAHORE : Governor Ch Sarwar met with Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, deputy chairman, Punjab senior minister and senators.
The meeting discussed political and parliamentary matters whereas all leaders condemned Israeli crimes and urged the United Nations to take prompt action and press Israel to uphold international law.
Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, Deputy Chairman Mirza Muhammad Afridi, Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, Senator Waleed Iqbal, Senator Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry and other senators called on the governor.
Governor Ch Sarwar congratulated Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani on performing Umrah and various issues came under discussion during the meeting.

Senior government officials including Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar, Governor Chaudhry Sarwar and Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan have strongly condemned Israel s bombardment on Gaza.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the CM regretted that Israel violated all international laws to play with fire and blood in Palestine.
He said the occupying forces are committing the worst cruelty by targeting women and children.

LAHORE: By Thursday, the food department had procured 855,934 tonnes of wheat 21.29 per cent of its target of 3.5 million tonnes and distributed gunny bags for around 1.8 million tonnes.
According to the departmental record, the daily arrival of wheat reached around 133,000 tonnes on Thursday, up from 90,000 tonnes a day earlier. Once this rain spell is over in the next few days and harvesting picks momentum in the central Punjab region, the daily arrival would pick up pace.
With the pace of procurement, reports of administrative highhandedness also started emerging on Thursday. Flour Mills Association President Asim Raza said the district administration, in its enthusiasm to meet targets, is overacting or reacting.
