We are recruiting for Private Client solicitor to join our expanding team. Ideally candidates should have at least three years PQE though other levels will be considered.
The individual can be based in Lerwick, Elgin or Inverness or the surrounding Highlands and Islands area and will deal with all aspects of wills, trusts, executries, adults with incapacity matters and estate planning (to include inheritance and capital gains tax issues). Being STEP qualified and/or dual Scots/English qualified will be helpful although is not essential.

Residential and Commercial Property, Lawyers and Paralegals â Highlands, Islands and Moray
We are recruiting for residential property lawyers and paralegals at all levels to be part of the largest legal team in the Highlands, Islands and Moray.
The roles, which can be based in Inverness, Elgin or Lerwick, will involve dealing with a broad range of residential property matters including house sales, and purchases. You will be acting for a broad range of clients including individuals, trusts, SMEs and property developers as well as advising housebuilders on site acquisitions and assembly through to plot sales of completed homes.
The successful candidates will deal with an interesting and varied work load with high levels of client contact and must be capable of dealing with their own caseload in a challenging, fast paced environment with minimal supervision, although you will be an integral part of a large team.
Commercial Property Lawyer – Inverness or Elgin Â
We are recruiting for a Commercial Property lawyer to join our property practice who can be based in Inverness or Elgin and we are happy to consider all levels.
The team deal with a variety of work in investment, development, property finance and corporate support, offering the opportunity for responsive and driven lawyers who will be given direct client contact, business development and support to make the most of their talent
The role will involve general commercial property work including acting for both landlords and tenants in commercial leases; the purchase and sale of investment properties; offering commercial property support to our corporate and banking teams; the management of clients’ property portfolios, including refinancing; property and land development, joint venturing and generally assisting our clients in various sectors
