YouTube: Red Cross Helps Utah Families Affected By Apartment Complex Fires | KSL TV
OGDEN In the past week, the American Red Cross in Utah has helped 120 people affected by five apartment complex fires from Ogden, Salt Lake City and Murray. We have been busy, but that s why we are here to help people, said Kirsten Stuart, who is with the Northern Utah Chapter of the American Red Cross based in Ogden.
Stuart showed KSL-TV some of the items they give to families right away, such as food, drinks, clothing, and a bag of small supplies. When your house burns down and this is the only shampoo and conditioner you have, it kind of puts new perspective to the situation that you re in, said Stuart.
The Saints girls won their third game of the season against Murray and allowed 35 points or less in all three victories. Haley Godfrey led the way for the Saints in scoring, knocking in ten points. The win for Melcher-Dallas is their fourth straight, which includes a victory over Seymour in the quarterfinal Wednesday night. The Saints will play for the Conference Tournament championship Saturday night at Orient-Macksburg against Moravia. The game will tip-off at 6:00.
The Saints boys will be looking for revenge against Moravia since their last matchup was a 78-41 road loss, their worst defeat of the season. Melcher-Dallas won their last two tournament games against Moulton-Udell and upset Lamoni for the second time this season.
