Rising from the trees less than 100 feet from the backyard is an 11-foot-high, 24-foot-wide vertical skate ramp under construction by the home s owner, Brennan Gagnon, a math teacher at R.J. Murray Middle School. Gagnon, who built the half pipe skate ramp with help from neighbors, plans to open what he s calling the Datil Pepper Vert Ramp when completed by the end of the month. Gagnon, 24, has some carpentry experience but said, I ve never built anything to this degree before.
