Amazon will open a delivery center in St. Cloud this year, creating hundreds of jobs in an area still hurting from the pandemic with higher than normal unemployment levels. We re thrilled to have Amazon one of the nation s premier companies operate in St. Cloud, St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis said Tuesday after his annual State of the City address. I think this is something most cities want.
Kleis announced in his speech that Amazon has applied for permits with the city and should be hiring this year.

WEST FARGO An upscale salon and boutique that will feature women owned small businesses is moving into West Fargo s downtown.
On Monday, May 3, the City Commission unanimously approved a roughly $65,000 enterprise grant to Birchwood Salon and Boutique, which hopes to open in the Pioneer Place building.
Birchwood Salon and Boutique would be a 918 square foot space in Pioneer Place, just south of D.A. Davidson. Birchwood Salon would have space for three stylists who could earn an annual income between $80,000 and $100,000 as well as two front staff members.

Titled Re-Activating Portland s Urban Core, it focused on how to overcome the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic that closed offices and increased homelessness, and the months-long series of protests that frequently ended with violence.
