The depot in Forward Drive (Photo: Google Maps) Harrow Council plans to develop its main depot to accommodate staff and services as part of its new working methods post-Covid. Its cabinet will discuss its updated ‘accommodation strategy’ at a meeting tomorrow (Thursday, May 26), including proposals to fit out the Central Depot, in Forward Drive, Wealdstone. This is expected to cost around £8.4 million and will cater for up to 1,000 people across five floors. The move was described by Harrow Council leader Cllr Graham Henson (Lab, Roxbourne) as a “considerable improvement on the existing approach” that will “allow staff to work in a more modern, flexible environment”.

A lollipop man who kissed and groped a child in a primary school shed while on duty has dodged a prison sentence.
Harry Buick, 80, repeatedly kissed the 10-year-old girl on the mouth on various occasions between April 19-26 2010.
The pensioner carried out the attacks while he was employed as a school crossing patroller.
Buick, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease and requires a walking frame, is now banned from leaving his home after 7pm after previously pleading guilty to the offence at the city’s sheriff court.
