PHILIPSBURG: - Former Minister Chris Wever continued his passion for giving back to the community on Tuesday by donating school backpacks filled with essential school supplies to the New Start for Children Foundation foster home. Wever, in collaboration with Sentinel Accountants & Consultants and Arts From the Heart (Office 1), made the presentation to Sally Benjamin who runs the foster home.
Wever said for him it is simply about being a good citizen and giving back to those who might need some assistance. As the start of the school year is approaching, he chose to give back to children who might not have as much as others but who deserve nice things and vital school supplies nonetheless.

PHILIPSBURG: - Yesterday, forty (40) households, were gifted with a Christmas Ham by Christopher Weever who partnered with NAGICO Insurances to spread some holiday cheer.
Weever, who intentionally set out on a mission recently to find ways to give back to the community, said he felt moved to act, after seeing how many families on the island, were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, whether it be by the loss of a loved one or the loss of their income and the means to provide for their families.
“With all that has been happening this year, I know it is hard and I felt obligated to try in whatever ways I can, to contribute to the community,” he said. “By means of this gesture, I hope to spread positivity and to help those in need and hope that as a community we can continue to pull together to help those around us who are more vulnerable.
