CEU School of Dentistry conducts limited face-to-face classes

Published July 21, 2021, 10:33 AM CEU School of Dentistry Centro Escolar University School of Dentistry started to conduct limited face-to-face classes for its students with clinical and laboratory requirements as approved by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Department of Health (DOH). The skills laboratories and clinics of the school were prepared and fully equipped to accommodate the students’ needed practice on dental procedures. With the phantom heads, model jaws, and dental cast made available for the students, they are able to perform oral prophylaxis (dental cleaning), filling, fabrication of dentures and crowns, root canal treatment, and tooth extraction. Manila LGU allows CEU to conduct limited face-to-face classes

Centro Escolar University Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno”Domagoso met with the CEU’s officials on Monday (February 8).  Present in the meeting were CEU School of Dentistry Dean Dr. Pearly Lim, CEU Community Dentistry head Dr. Felipe Wilfredo Espineli, and CEU Security Department head Col. Nicanor Grino. The students’ graduation has been delayed by a year due to lack of practicum. This as the national government decided to suspend classes to prevent the possible exposure of the students to the virus, the CEU department heads said. Domagoso agreed to the proposal presented by the CEU’s department heads and stressed that the country’s health sector needs more graduates.

Withers banking duo joins Singapore s Harry Elias | Asian Legal Business

Singapore’s Harry Elias Partnership has hired banking and finance specialists Pearl Lim and Chan Wai Chong as partners from Withers. They are the second and third partner hires for Harry Elias since the firm split from Eversheds Sutherlands in June. In October, Harry Elias added construction and engineering expert Yvonne Foo from Clyde & Co. Lim specialises in real estate, project and receivables finance and distressed debt transactions, advising clients including international banks, financial institutions, family offices and private clients. Meanwhile, Chan advises banks and borrowers on domestic and cross-border loan transactions, restructuring and insolvency. With the additions of Lim and Chan, Harry Elias currently has 25 partners.
