I had decided I was going to get the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as it became available. After nine months of taking precautions and not contracting the virus, I felt I was in the final stretch. I had recently received a flu shot, too.
The next day, I sat in my recliner unable to move because of soreness, relentless chills and having no energy. I was baffled and kept reading stories on my iPhone about the virus and asking myself these questions: What are the symptoms that would prompt hospitalization? What are the most severe forms that would require it?
