Growing up in a
family of lawyers in
North Delhi’s Model Town neighbourhood, Aastha had never thought of pursuing fashion or styling. In those days, it wasn’t really a career choice anyway.

SocialStory, Ramita talks about her passion, how the photo documentary opened her eyes to the harsh reality faced by migrant workers, and how she feels about being recognised for her work.

Social Story [SS]: What inspired you the most to take up photography?
Ramita Rathod [RR]: By the time I was 10, I had already lived in three different states and travelled extensively around India and other parts of the world. I always wanted to tell the stories of my journey around the world.

The youngster s parents, Annu and Abhishek, wanted to inculcate digital skills in their daughter early on. Saanvi is a very logical-minded and inquisitive kid. We thought of introducing her to the world of AI as we knew that it would be among the most sought-after skills in future, Annu noted.
