Soldiers Care Package Outreach continues

The Soldiers Care Package Outreach continues on despite the pandemic. Since inception in 2005, this undertaking has grown fruitfully from being a congregational effort of the First Baptist Church to a community supported event. As the year is winding down, we wish to thank all of you in our community who have generously supported this effort. The recent Halloween candy campaign produced 1370 lbs. of candy for our troops.
During a regular year we send customized care packages to deployed members in all military branches. For the last 15 years, this outreach has packed and shipped 57,500-plus pounds of supplies. We use “Point Leaders,” who are soldiers who accept and distribute care package donations to the most needy in their entire unit.
