NORTH GEORGETOWN– The West Branch Area Ladies Ruritan Club met Dec. 7 at the First Brethren Church in North Georgetown. Bev Yaggi gave prayer and the ladies enjoyed a casserole dinner. They also enjoyed a gift exchange and played games.
President Robin Mayer brought the meeting to order and asked Viola Blanchard to lead the ladies with the “Pledge of Allegiance” and singing “God bless America.” Mayer asked Sandy Bates to read the minutes and Mary Belle Metzgar to give the treasurer’s report.
The club is giving a donation to the Backpack program at West Branch Schools. Members sent cards to five nursing homes and baked cookies for the Knox Township trustees, Columbiana County workers, North Georgetown Fire Department and Homeworth Fire Department.
