Weyburn s Walking Gallery vandalized, info sought

The Walking Gallery set up along a fence on First Avenue North on Thursday evening was vandalized, with some pieces broken or taken. Only the sign and three pieces remain. If anyone has information about this crime of vandalism, contact the Weyburn Police Service or any member of the Weyburn Arts Council. The council has stated also if someone has one of the missing art pieces, they can leave it by the fence and they will rehang it, no questions asked. The first two photos show the gallery as it looked on Saturday, and the other photos were of the installation on Thursday evening.

The projects are funded under the new COVID-19 Resilience Stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program. Among other projects, the funding will go toward the construction of a new community centre in Kinistino, which will house the town office, a rental hall, a daycare and a library.
