The IndyCar field may have radically changed over the past few years, but Scott Dixon has not.
Dixon is the best at what he does, and what he does is everything. Will Power may be quicker in qualifying on a road course, Alexander Rossi may be more willing to dive deeper into a braking zone, and Josef Newgarden may be more likely to rip off four consecutive wins when he needs them, but nobody is better at the total job of driving an IndyCar than Scott Dixon.

The on-track action in Saturday night’s Genesys 300 at Texas Motor Speedway saw sparks and flames, a mirror of the high emotions between Jack Harvey and Graham Rahal well after Scott Dixon ended the night in Victory Lane.
Exiting Turn 2, Rahal attempted to pass Harvey on the inside, but Harvey had begun to change his line toward the inside, as well. The two continued toward the bottom of the racetrack, and Rahal dipped below the white line to avoid hitting Harvey.
As they approached Turn 3, Rahal got the better of the pair as Harvey backed off and let him have the position. INDYCAR race stewards ruled that the action was a racing incident, and Rahal went on to finish fifth, Harvey seventh.

Dixon was joined late in the 2020 IndyCar season by fellow Kiwi Scott McLaughlin.
The 26-year-old McLaughlin comes to IndyCar after winning three consecutive Australian Supercars championships (2018-2020).
A Kiwi can be several things, including a bird and a tasty piece of fruit. But when it comes to racing, Kiwi stands for outstanding racing talent from the country of New Zealand.
And the amount of talent that the land of the Kiwi is exporting to the USA is suddenly growing by leaps and bounds.
Second-generation Indycar driver Colton Herta talks to Fox News Autos about becoming the youngest-ever winner in series history, and how his dad Bryan Herta helped him along the way.
Colton Herta went a solid eight years ignoring any advice about racing cars that came from his father, an actual professional driver. Colton Herta drives the Gainbridge Andretti Autosport Honda during the Firestone Grand Prix of St.Petersburg on April 25, 2021 on the Streets of St. Petersburg.
Sunday on the downtown streets of St. Petersburg, in their very first race working together, Herta was listening. He followed the sound of his father’s voice all the way to victory and alongside him on IndyCar’s win list.
