The average Indian wedding spanned multiple days with several ceremonies leading up to the main wedding day. While the concept of weddings remained the same, there are elements that were modified to make each wedding day different from another. Over the past few years, couples have been experimenting with personalisation – from decor to destination weddings, to cross-cultural weddings to bring the best of everything together.

The Class of 2020 began their MBA studies in September 2018 in the midst of a healthy economy. Everything changed as they rounded their last lap in the spring of 2020 and most of the world went into lockdown. Despite economic turmoil and public health crisis, the Stanford MBA 2020 Employment Report reflects strong results, posting a sixth consecutive record-breaking year for salaries.

MaryKate recently got engaged in Philadelphia, PA which is close to where she grew up in Bucks County, PA. If she’s not spending time at home in Hoboken, NJ she’s most likely on the beach with her family, book cracked open and rosé in hand.
Last April, I wrote a letter to my parents, who would have been 104 this year, in the form of an op-ed column in my hometown newspaper in Lancaster, PA. I expressed my hope that, in dealing with the upheaval of the pandemic, we could draw upon the examples they set in coping with the Great Depression as teenagers (without cell phones) and enduring World War II as young parents (without Internet access).
In closing, I promised to write again “to let you know that we rose to the occasion, came together (in mind, if not in body), rode out the COVID-19 storm… in our virtual tornado cellars, and minimized the amount of human suffering.”
