Ty Olson grew up in a small town in the Red River Valley of North Dakota. He has been skiing since he was young.
On Sunday, Olson will embark on a 250 mile expedition from Rainy Lake to Lake Superior on skis to raise money to buy firewood for people living on the Pine Ridge reservation. He is calling the journey “Ski for Fire.”
