Asian jailed in forgery case in Dubai

The Dubai Criminal Court sentenced an Asian sales representative for 3 months in jail, to be followed by deportation after serving the jail term, and fined him Dhs15,000 after he was convicted of forging a rental contract and a real estate registration certificate with which he defrauded a female airline attendant.
The incident dates back to an earlier time when the victim contacted a person who put an advertisement on a website offering to sell and rent housing units.
According to the victim’s testimony in the prosecution’s investigations, the suspect rented her an apartment for Dhs40,000 for a year, which she actually paid for the first year.

On credible inputs, Poonch police arrested most wanted ultra identified as Sher Ali of Mendhar area of Poonch district from Jammu airport.
He was on his way to Jammu from Mumbai when police got information about his arrival. The moment his flight landed, Poonch police reached the airport and arrested him from the tarmac.

Arab, GCC men face charges of drug abuse

The Dubai Public Prosecution referred a GCC and an Arab , one of them is at large, to the Criminal Court, on charges of facilitating drug abuse for an Asian who is referred to a misdemeanour court.
Details date back to July 2020, when a team of the Anti- Narcotic Department moved to the scene of a tip-off stating that an Arab cook fainted in the reception hall of a hotel in Dubai.
The report added that the cook was suspected of drug abuse, and that he was a hotel guest accompanied by a GCC and an Asian.
