MANSEHRA: A mob stormed the Oghi civil hospital and smashed its windows and doors and beat up doctors and other staff members on Friday night for carrying out the postmortem of a boy without his family’s consent.
Mohammad Khalid had committed suicide and the family took the body to the hospital for examination.
The police booked a dozen of people for the attack.
The protesters later gathered at the Milad Chowk and placed the body in the middle of the road blocking traffic.
A police team led by DSP Jehanzeb Khan showed up and convinced protesters to reopen the road.

SWAT: Unidentified persons barged into a house in the wee hours on Friday and axed a woman to death and critically injured another in Panja Khan area of Mingora.
Mingora police SHO Akhtar Ayub said some unidentified persons broke into a house near the Mingora city and axed a woman to death, and left another woman, who was a guest in the house, severely injured.
He said the injured woman was shifted to the Saidu Sharif Teaching Hospital.
The father of the deceased woman lodged FIR against unidentified persons in Mingora police station. The police have started investigation into the incident.
