Inspector Sunday Fred Onoja has been identified as one of the policemen killed by unknown gunmen in Enugu state.
The station, vehicles, motorcycles and other property were burnt. The assailants also took away a police van.
Taking to Facebook on Thursday, Joy Onoja, a sister of Inspector Sunday described him as a hero and vibrant young man.
Sunset at Dawn! It s too early nah bros! What a painful exit! Of a Hero, a gallant and a vibrant young man, giving all gratitude to God almighty I announce the demise of my kid brother, Inspector Sunday Fred Onoja, who was murdered in cold blood while on duty by unknown gunmen at his station in Enugu state alongside 3 other police officers,” she posted.
The commander said that the suspects would be charged for alleged conspiracy and theft of public property.

, a security officer to Utamazi Unit at Mburu-Anusi in Enugu State, were arrested.
“They were arrested around Airport Roundabout in Enugu by NAF personnel on internal security patrol with a truck-load of vandalised rail tracks belonging to the NRC.
“The two suspects were arrested alongside two dismissed NAF personnel who served as their escorts.
“Further interrogation revealed that they were enroute to Onitsha, Anambra State, to sell off the stolen goods when their truck was intercepted.
