PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government ordered transfers and postings of 12 officers, including six deputy commissioners, on Tuesday.
A notification issued from the establishment department said that Peshawar deputy commissioner Mohammad Ali Asghar had been transferred and posted additional secretary finance department, and retired captain Khalid Mahmood, who was awaiting posting, had been posted Peshawar deputy commissioner.
Akhtar Saeed Turk, additional secretary finance department, has been transferred and posted special secretary regulations at the establishment department, while deputy commissioner Mardan Mohammad Abid Khan has been transferred and posted special secretary planning and development department.
Habibullah Arif, additional secretary Zakat and Ushr department, has been transferred and posted DC Mardan, and DC Malakand Rehan Gul Khattak has also been directed to report to the establishment department. Suhail Khan, DG Food Safety Authority, has been posted DC

PESHAWAR: The authorities claimed to have vaccinated 95 per cent of the target children against polio in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and efforts were underway to reach the missed children on the last day of the seven-day drive that ended on Sunday.
Peshawar Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ali Asghar and his team visited the hotspots of refusal against the vaccine and wooed parents to immunise their children against the crippling disease.
The administration has been able to convince hundreds of parents in Peshawar, the epicentre of defiance against polio vaccination, to administer oral polio drops to the children below the age of five.
District admin speeds up city beautification drive

PESHAWAR: As part of “Clean and Green Peshawar” initiative, the district administration Saturday accelerated its beautification drive across the provincial capital by removing wall chalking at several public places including boundary walls, sidewalks, main roads and flyovers.
According to a spokesman of the district administration an administrative officers along with the concerned TMAs visited their areas of jurisdiction and launched crackdown to erase wall chalking from every nook and corner of the metropolis.
Under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner (AC) City Dr Ihetasham ul Haq a comprehensive drive was carried out in interior city, University and Jamrud roads. Similarly, AC (Mattani) Rizwana Dar discouraged wall chalking alongside the main roads and inner streets of Pishtakhara.
