UAE-chaired OIC Summit on Science & Technology issues Abu Dhabi Declaration
ABU DHABI, 16th June, 2021 (WAM) UAE today chaired the second Organistion of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Science & Technology, which was held virtually in the presence of leaders and representatives from OIC member states to discuss ways to promote the advanced technology and science agenda among the member states.
Addressing the summit, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, said the OIC member should mobilise their energies and resources to open up new prospects for investment in science and innovation to achieve progress, prosperity and stability for their peoples.

New Delhi, May 11: China, on Monday warned Bangladesh of grave consequences if the latter joined any initiatives under the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue or QUAD Bilateral relations with Bangladesh would be substantially damaged if it joins hand with [Quad] initiatives, Radio Free Asia quoted Chinese Ambassador in Bangladesh Li Jiming as saying.
Last month, Chinese Defence Minister Gen. Wei Fenghe who called on Bangladesh President Mohammad Abdul Hamid had insisted that the two countries should join hands to form a military alliance in South Asia.

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has received a cable of thanks from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in reply to His Majesty s condolences cable to him on the death of Prince Badr Fahd Saud Al Kabeer Al Saud.
In the cable, King Salman expressed his thanks for His Majesty the Sultan s good feelings and sincere prayers, praying to the Almighty Allah to rest the deceased s soul in peace in paradise and protect His Majesty against all harms.
